چکیده
The aim of this research was to evaluate the nutritional enhancement omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (n-3 LC-PUFA) composition edible lamb Longissimus thoracis et lumborum muscle, heart, kidney, and liver in response dietary supplementation lot-fed lambs with or without oil fortified pellets. hypothesis tested that fortifying feedlot pellets will enhance human health beneficial n-3 LC-PUFA muscle tissue organs. Seventy-five Tattykeel Australian White exclusive MARGRA brand, an average body weight 30 kg at six months age, were randomly assigned following three treatments 25 each, as a cohort for 47 days completely randomized experimental design: (1) Control grain plus hay; (2) Omega-3 (3) Commercial whole hay. All had ad libitum access basal hay diet water. Post-slaughter liver, heart determined using thee gas chromatography–mass spectrophotometry technique. Results indicated significant variations (p < 0.05) profiles between tissues significantly increased ?C20 (C20:5n-3 eicosapentaenoate, EPA + C22:5n3 docosapentaenoate, DPA C22:6n3 docosahexanoate DHA); C18:3n-3 alpha-linolenate, ALA; C18:2 conjugated linoleic acid, CLA; total monounsaturated acids, MUFA; PUFA contents; reduced ratio omega-6 acids all organs impacting shelf-life. findings demonstrate inclusion diets enhances compromising meat quality.

Evaluation of the Relationship between Endometriosis and Omega-3 and Omega-6 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids
Background: Endometriosis is a common chronic inflammation causing major problems including infertility. The role of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as their potential anti-inflammatory effects in endometriosis needs to be further explored. The objective of this study was to compare serum phospholipid fatty acid profile in endometriosis patients with controls, and to explore the correlation of ...
متن کاملOmega-3 Long Chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids as Sensitizing
The efficacy of chemotherapy depends on sensitivity and intrinsic or acquired drug 14 resistance of cancer cells. The n-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 LCPUFAs) are 15 considered chemosensitizing agents and revertants of multidrug resistance by pleiotropic 16 mechanisms. The specific mechanisms are not fully understood, but nowadays, it is widely accepted 17 that there are a compl...
متن کاملAustralian children are not consuming enough long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids for optimal health.
OBJECTIVES To determine children's polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) intakes, compare these with adequate intake and adjusted suggested dietary targets, and determine if intakes between children of different body weight and physical activity levels differed. METHODS The necessary data files were obtained from the Australian Social Science Data Archive and were merged for 4486 children 2 to 16...
متن کاملBeneficial effects and oxidative stability of omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids
Omega-3 Polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs), especially long-chain eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA) fatty acids, exert a strong positive influence on human health. At present, fish oil is the major source of omega-3. EPA and DHA are highly susceptible to lipid oxidation Lipid oxidation of fish oil and other PUFA-rich foods is a serious problem that often leads to loss of she...
متن کاملLong-Chain Omega-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids May Be Beneficial for Reducing Obesity—A Review
Current recommendations for counteracting obesity advocate the consumption of a healthy diet and participation in regular physical activity, but many individuals have difficulty complying with these recommendations. Studies in rodents and humans have indicated that long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC n-3 PUFA) potentially elicit a number of effects which might be useful for reduc...
